Estraditol

Aliases: E2

Group: Hormone

Description:

Estradiol, also called E2, is the main type of estrogen in nonpregnant females of childbearing age. It's mostly made in the ovaries and is important for fertility. It also helps support brain and bone health. Males make small amounts of this estrogen in the testicles. Estrogen levels in females normally change a lot throughout life. In males, estrogen levels change much less. But levels that stay too high or too low may be a sign of a health problem.
