Glucagone
Aliases: Glucagon, hypoglycemia-glucagon
Group: Blood glucose
Description:
Glucagon is a hormone produced by the pancreas. It helps control the level of glucose (blood sugar) in the body. Glucose is the body's main source of energy. When glucose levels fall, the pancreas releases glucagon into the bloodstream. This triggers the production of glucose. When glucose levels rise, less glucagon is released. If the pancreas does not release the right amount of glucagon, it can cause serious health problems.
